Review: Hobbycraft set of 30 assorted colour ink pads

My first review... so let’s begin

If you have seen my Planner starting from the bottom … yes I love me some Drake. You’ll know that I bought Planner Stamps to use with my Mambi/Happy Planner. I got the Hobby craft set of 30 assorted colour ink pads. And one dewdrop ink pad. 

So I used ALL 30 COLOURS in a trial for you & myself. I know the are “assorted” butttttt I didn’t need 8 different shades of purple/fuchsia and only one yellow full swatch of my set bellow … with it being assorted I doubt every set is the same.

I feel like for the money £10 these are good, colour to colour, and easy to use... It is an ink pad I don’t know how it could be hard to use but any way. I feel like packaging isn’t the best the lids aren’t tight I know I will lose a few lids in storage.

So colour comparing I have one other black and that is the Dewdrops Brilliance in Graphite Black I stamped both black and I feel I like the chirpiness of the Dewdrop when all the Hobby Craft colour seemed a light more messy, it feel like you have more control of the actual sponge on the DD one whereas with the HC you are dabbing repeal to get colour onto the stamp.. The reason I picked up the DD was because someone on YT stated that it doesn’t transfer though the paper … I got the wrong type of DD but it still doesn't  show as bad as the Hobby Craft.

my last comment on these stamps is about the metallic stamps. there was only three colour is the set Bronze , Sliver and Gold in real life its hard to see the colour/pigmentation of the bronze and gold the sliver was true to colour. But in the flash photo you can see better but I wont be using these stamps for picture I'll be using it  then for decorations.

Planner

Many of you will know that "Planner's" have taken over specially now it’s the new year. People like to the more organised when the new calendar starts, I being one they people. 

I seen so many amazing plan with me videos on YouTube with gorgeous sticker sets from Esty and so many different planner styles. With being a working college student I believed it was about time I got myself organised

I debated on which planner to get... go with the cult fav or try something different

I researched the Erin and the price just goes up if you want any type of personalise which is one for the reason I looked into that one and to get it shipped to the UK is something I worry about as I have been charged over £100 in customs charges for only 4 international packages

So back onto the actual topic at hand I decided to get the Happy Planner

Also known as …. Create 365 - The Happy Planner, Mambi planner, me and my big ideas planner. The happy planner is an 18 month planner which you can removed the paged and also add pages, the boxes are the same width as the EC vertical planner yet slightly longer

Stamps

After doing some research I choose to use stamps and a one of my main decorations for my planner as stickers aren't that easy to come across in the UK

I got three sets of stamps from Studiol2e one set is on preorder so I don’t have them to review but I will post them anyway then a follow up. 

i got three sets and the shipping was only $5.95 ... be aware that if you buy more the shipping can double even triple in cost 

I got the Iconic set which has 30 every day stamps  ,  i plan to use this with water colour pencils or paints to add detail. 

I also pre-ordered the Plan it set i looked everywhere for a affordable set like this and i couldn't find one in the uk or in actual stock so i choose this one after watching YT reviews  

and lastly i got the Beautiful You plan it set.. i study make-up artistry at college so i thought this set would be a nice way to pretty up the days i am at college 

Ink

I didn't want to go spending bucket loads of money before I had even physically got my planer so I decided to stay cheap and got a 30 piece stamp set from Hobby craft for £10 being that I knew it was cheap I also grabbed a dew drop brilliance ink in Graphite Black … and a metallic washi tape, I also go two clear blocks and one stamp to test the inks I got … I will do a review soon.

Side Note: being that this purchases was spur of the moment, meaning I hadn’t researched the Dew drops brand, I just grabbed the black without knowing much … I thought I had seen it in a YT video I got the wrong one/type, many other people like the Memento and VersaMagic lines better as they don’t leak through the paper specially the VersgaMagic as this one is chalk based

Printable Planner Stickers Begginer UK

STICKERS!! I swear my inner child is loving this new craze, planning with stickers is big on social media right now, and HELL YES  I wanted to jump right on that trend. .. But (there’s always a but) after looking at the most popular & cult favs on Esty planner pages, I released that not many of these store were based in the grand old UK, and to get a couple pages of stickers sent to sunny Scotland ( sarcasm)  would cost an arm and a leg soooo.

I decided to buy printable sticker from Esty along with stamp sets to crate my own planner themes! and this way I will never have to worry about running out of stickers between delivery’s.. on to the fun part

Shop One: Sweety Stickers  I got a 600!! Piece header set, I got this set because of the blocked layout I like when everything is made simple & have you checked all the colours ahh ombre heaven ( post on printout)

Shop two:  kittikprints i got "Bill due & Pay Day" stickers and "Work _to_ " ... by main reason to start planning is to keep on top of finances 


shop Three: Paula Kim Studio  this is my FAVOURITE set I just love the colour and how you get SIX pages which is 20! full boxes per page and 4 half boxes for only £5 i think that's a steal   I choose Chevron , Watercolour and Glitter 


Shop four: Eireen Stickers I also bought a couple full set/monthly sets which are designed for the Happy planner. this store is amazing for happy planner sets there is 45 available !!! <-- linked 


The sets I got are mostly designed for the Happy Planner and they are mostly background stickers and headers to start with. my reason to go with background and headers was they are mostly made out of starlight lines and wouldn't need extra care when cutting. 
 at this moment of time I have printed some out to test my printer and the quality of ink I have. also testing out label quality but I'll be posting on that next.
